Are Your Products 100% Natural?

Minus for traces of SCI (a transformed coconut oil derivative that acts as a mild emulsifier) in our solid shampoo, our products are 100% natural. Purchasing only the highest quality ingredients from licensed, certified organic suppliers who abide by the rules of fair trade is primordial to us. The ingredients used in the crafting of our natural personal care products are grown organically or wild-harvested (when possible).

We positively guarantee that none of our personal care products contain synthetic components such as endocrine-disrupting chemicals, foaming agents, artificial fragrance oils/colours and preservatives, GMOs, PEGs, parabens, sulfates, gluten, coaltars, alcohols, quaternium or silicone.

Are Your Products Gluten-Free?

Our natural personal care products are gluten-free. Some of our natural artisan soap bars do contain oats or pure oats flour, both of which, however, are certified gluten-free.

Are Your Products Locally Made?

All products are designed by our crafting master Milène in our workshop in Quebec. Everything is done in-house, from development to delivery, including label design, packaging and, of course, manufacturing.

Are Your Products Cruelty-Free?

Our natural personal care products are certified cruelty-free. None of the ingredients used in their crafting have been tested on animals. Furthermore, none of our products have been/are/will ever be tested on animals.

Are Your Ingredients Locally Sourced?

Collaborating with local businesses and encouraging our local economy by supporting startups is important for us, and the reason why purchase ingredients locally whenever possible. Unfortunately, some ingredients cannot be locally sourced as the plants from which they come (such as cocoa, coconut, etc.) do not grow in our climate.

How Can I Test for Compatibility?

24 to 60 hours before using the product on your entire body, do a test by rubbing a small amount of the product directly onto your elbow. Though we use hypoallergenic components in the crafting of our natural personal care products, incompatibilities can happen. In case of a reaction, please contact us to advise us of the situation.

How Do Custom Orders Work?

Custom orders are carefully crafted in accordance to your skin type, hair type and qualities you seek your personalized product to possess.

We proceed by first asking you to fill the form found at the bottom of this page. Following the reception of your answers, we will contact you to further discuss your custom order. To ensure your satisfaction and the personalized product’s compatibility to your skin/hair, we will closely work with you for the duration of your custom order’s creation.

Personalized products are conveniently sold in larger quantities. The price of a personalized product is established based on the production cost. A close estimate (not including shipping fees) will be provided to you when discussing the custom order. Custom orders are to be paid in full prior to us starting to work on their crafting. Please note that, as mentioned in our Returns Policy, custom orders of personalized products are non-refundable.

Do You Offer International Shipping?

Yes, we do offer international shipping. Please note that this service will come with additional charges. Contact us for more information.

How Long Does Shipping Usually Take?

Delivery of our products is done through Canada Post. To arrive to their intended destination, orders take between from 1 to 4 business days for Quebec, and 2 to 7 business days for the USA and the rest of Canada. For more information about Shipping, please visit this page.

Is Shipping Free? Are There Any Shipping Fees?

Shipping is free for orders of $80 or more.

For all orders under $80, costs associated to shipping vary based on the order’s size (weight) and its intended destination.

What Do Your Prices Reflect?

We care a great deal about being fair in our services and offerings. We stand for nature and are committed to encouraging as many people as possible to use personal care products that are just as people-friendly as they are environmentally-friendly. That said, we are dedicated to doing all that we can to keep our prices low enough to prevent them from being too harsh on your wallet, while also allowing us to promote Zephyr Essentials’ development.

The calculation of our prices is based on 1) the ingredients we use in crafting our products; 2) the cost of our reusable packaging; 3) the cost of shipping.

All the ingredients we use are natural and sourced from suppliers who encourage sustainability and abide by the rules of fair raw material trades. This, however, makes them more expensive than your average, questionably-sourced ingredients. We are committed to providing quality and will not resort to compromises for the sake of a few dollars, and hope you understand that and encourage us in this direction.

Our prices also cover costs related to website maintenance, accounting and shop consignment fees while leaving a margin that we use to support various NGOs. The profits are entirely reinvested in the development of Zephyr, the purchase of new equipment and the sourcing of new raw materials for new products.

What Are My Payment Options?

At the moment, we only accept payments through PayPal (or cash if in-person).

It should be noted that PayPal does give the option of paying with a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Having a PayPal account is not necessary in order to be able to use the platform for your payment method, making this option easy and practical for all parties involved.
